Ariel sings
Where the bee sucks, there suck I:
In a cowslip's bell I lie;
There I couch when owls do cry.
On the bat's back I do fly
After summer merrily.
Merrily, merrily shall I live now
Under the blossom that hangs on the bough.
Good enough, even though it’s a daffodil and not a cowslip’s bell which apparently is a primula (primrose) beloved of faeries.
Always loved this. Ariel is one of my favorite characters. And it makes a beautiful haunting song.
Ah Shakespeare. Thank you for bringing the dafadil, and,cowslip here together.
Thanks Michele

Love this…..so nice to have Ariel’s song stand out from the play — and at this daffodil moment…I loved your cascade of daffodils at your house.
Ruth the bee in a daffodil- love it.
